Day 12 of the 13-day Red Serpent Wavespell

Imagine that you and everyone you know needed to take a test so important that the score you received had a direct correlation on the quality of your lives.

Ace the test and you will lead a life filled with love, laughter, fulfillment, and good health. Fail the test and you are destined to live with pain, suffering, loneliness, and longing.

The final score calculated though is not yours alone, but rather the average score of everyone’s combined.

In all likelihood, when you are first told that you need to take this test, your immediate reaction would be one of immense fear, with all of your thoughts flooding in from this perspective.

What if I don’t know any of the answers? What if I fail? What if my life is destined to be miserable?!

It would be a very normal reaction to initially go to this place of fear because it’s part of the job of your sympathetic nervous system that controls the fight or flight response to sense danger – and there’s no doubt that the ramifications of a low score are very dangerous to your well-being.

We know the first thing you would do is be overcome with a worst-case-scenario mindset.

What then is the next thing you would do?

Ask questions, and lots of them.

When is the test?  How many questions? What is the format? How long will I have to take it? What is the subject matter? etc. etc. etc.

You will want to find out as much information as you can so that you can be as prepared as humanly possible.

Let’s say you find out all the answers – you take it in a year, it’s 10 questions, short answer, you’ll have an entire day to finish it, and the subject matter is elephants.

Now that you’ve had some of those questions answered and have more understanding of the parameters, your level of fear is going to go down but still be present of course, being that the ramifications of a bad score are so grave, and you don’t know much about elephants.

All the same, you will feel less fear.

So then what is the next thing you would do?

Ask more questions!

You would dedicate the next year of your life to gaining as much intelligence as you can about elephants.

You would cooperate with everyone around you to create communication channels of sharing and support, knowing that the Collective Intelligence has a direct effect on your own quality of Life.

As time went on and your knowledge of elephants increased, as it did for everyone else, your fear would get smaller and smaller.

Finally, the day of the test has come.

You and your community have dedicated your lives to asking questions, the result of that process universalizing fearlessness in your approach and way of Being, and your cooperative efforts have filled you all with intelligence, the output of which you know will lead you to the lives of your dreams.

This process has not only dissipated your fear but actually made you excited to take the test because you are more present to the positive upside than the negative downside.

The Yellow Crystal Warrior reminds us that the elephant in the room is that every part of this example is a metaphor for our lives, with the same potential results an actuality of possibility.

If you understand how this applies to you and the quality of your life, great! You know the path towards a happy, healthy, fulfilling existence for you and everyone around you.

If you don’t understand how this applies to you, then not to worry as there is something you can do about it.

Ask questions.

Theme:

Fearlessness, Dedication, Cooperation

Mission:

  1. Take time to contemplate how the metaphor applies to your life, and write down all the specific components. If you don’t understand it, continue to contemplate and ask questions.
  2. BONUS: Share it with friends.
